SHIPPING POLICY

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO SHIP MY ORDER?

Our shipping rates are determined by the height, width and length of the carton that the planter is shipped in.  Depending on the size of planter you order, your shipping cost will be determined during checkout.  The size of the planter ordered and the address the order is shipping to will determine an accurate shipping quote.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND DO YOU OFFER LOCAL PICK UP?

Our studio is located in Welland, Ontario.  If you are local (if you live in Welland or the surrounding Niagara Region), please use code LOCAL during checkout if you prefer to pick up your new planter.

CAN I SAVE ON SHIPPING BY BUYING MORE THAN ONE POT AT A TIME?

As long as you purchase different sizes, you can save on shipping.  Each pot fits perfectly inside each other (kind of like a Matryoshka doll set) so it makes it easy (and convenient) to order multiple sizes at once.  

WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?

At this time, we ship to Canada and the USA, but if you are an international customer, please send us an email and we will gladly look into a shipping quote for you.

HOW MUCH DUTIES AND TAXES WILL I HAVE TO PAY TO SHIP MY ORDER OUTSIDE OF CANADA?

Customs policies vary from country to country; we recommend that you contact your local customs office for further information. All international customers are responsible for the customs rates within their own country. Common House Studio will declare FULL value on international shipments and must include an invoice for customs should they require it. Unfortunately we cannot put a lower value on the parcel.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

We start processing our orders straightaway as we paint to order. If you need to cancel your order, you can do so within 12 hours after placing it.  After that we are unable to cancel it. 

WHAT DO I DO IF MY ORDER IS LOST OR STUCK IN TRANSIT?

Canadian Orders: the issue must be brought to our attention within 10 - 30 days from the last shipping update. 

United States Orders: the issue must be brought to our attention within 20 - 30 days from the last shipping update. 

WHAT DO I DO IF MY ORDER IS DAMAGED?

The issue must be brought to our attention with photos of the damaged package and item, no later than 5 days from when the order was marked delivered. At our discretion, we may cover or replace the order issue if the damaged item is perishable or if the customer is unable to use it.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

Since all of our Common House Studio planters are painted to order, we require 10 - 14 business days (from time that order is placed) to paint and allow time to dry.  Our average processing time is 1-2 weeks. You will receive an email with your tracking number once it is shipped out. As for branded planters and accessories, our processing time is 2 - 5 business days. 

If you are in a rush for your items, please email us at jend@commonhousestudio.ca and we can provide a quote for expedited shipping.  All orders ship from our Canadian studio (that means that US orders must pass through borders and this may result in shipping delays). We are not responsible for stolen or lost packages (or packages shipped to the wrong address - at checkout, please ensure the correct shipping address is used).
